The World We Knew (Over And Over) - Josh Groban

It is of my opinion that Josh Groban is one of the greatest voices of our time.
His voice, talent and performance gives me hope that there is still some class left in today's music industry.    And who knew that Josh is also pretty goofy and can entertain the youngest audience to your grandparents.
A live Josh Groban performance is both entertaining and moving to the core.  Seriously.

Josh just released his anticipated new album "Harmony," and while a new album from any artist can make you question if it will live up to the last,  I never worry if Josh will deliver.

The moment "The World We Knew (Over And Over)" plays, you instantly feel like you are listening to the intro of the newest James Bond movie installment.

Josh's career has been built off success of both original and cover songs.  "Harmony" is an album heavy on covers that Josh has long wanted to do.
It is clear why Groban chose this song,

"The World We Knew (Over And Over)" was originally released by Billy Vaughn in 1967.
Most notably and recognized would be Frank Sinatra's release in the same year.

It is hard to be mad at any Frank Sinatra adaptation.  Ol' Blue Eyes' left his mark with this song.
Groban offers his signature rich vocals and that killer orchestral arrangement.  Due to the Coronavirus, Groban had to get creative in recording his new album.

"I'm old school. I've always liked being in the room," Groban said. "I've been spoiled. My music has been generally pretty large, pretty expansive since I was 18 years old. From the moment I started, I've always been in a room with a huge orchestra. I've always said I don't want to do it detached."

Despite the distance, Groban says everyone "played with just as much passion," crafting an album he's incredibly proud of.

"Those were the first songs we got to play in many, many, many months," he said. "There was a feeling of relief and joy."

This modern performance of a classic would make Sinatra proud.
